Kerry County Childcare Committee would like to remind you that the closing date for applications for the Leadership for Inclusion in the Early Years (LINC) programme is this Thursday, 12 April at 4pm. This is a free training programme for Early Years practitioners and is mostly delivered online but also has only 7 face-to-face classroom sessions throughout the year. This coming year the classroom sessions will be running in the following locations:
The training programme is:
- Free to Participate
- Early years settings that employ an Inclusion Coordinator (INCO) who has graduated from LINC will receive an extra €2 per week in capitation per ECCE-eligible child in a pre-school room, where the child is on an ECCE/CCS/TEC programme.
- Participants receive a €200 contribution towards costs.
If you missed the information session in Killarney, an overview presentation of the programme can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0Skbr8HELw&feature=youtu.be
You can also hear from a graduate of the programme here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5ZqEsiyrBY&feature=youtu.be
Applications for the programme are currently open and can only be made online until 4pm on Thursday (12 April):
Apply online here: www.lincprogramme.ie/apply-now
Remember – graduates from LINC can only be an INCO in one service (one DCYA number), so if you have multiple numbers with pre-school rooms, you should apply for staff from each DCYA number to take the LINC Programme in order to be eligible to get the capitation in each DCYA number. It’s also important to note that the member of staff nominated as INCO must work across the full setting as the INCO, but does not necessarily need to be working in the pre-school room itself.
If you have any further questions or queries in relation to the programme you can contact the LINC programme team on 061-204545 or email email@example.com.
