“Barnardos is delighted to announce an upcoming workshop on
Guardianship: Implications of the Child and Family Relationships Act 2015 (Commenced 2016)

The following will be covered:
• Discussion of how the Act is relevant in areas like:
o Collections policy and procedure
o Enrolments
o Consents
• Implications discussed and questions answered for services

This workshop is important for your service as it discusses the impact that the new ‘Child and Family Relationships Act 2015’ has on a number of early year’s services policies, procedures and practice.

The 2015 Act has implications for everyday interactions with parents regarding issues such as who may be a child’s legal guardian, who can give consents and who should be given particular information and so on.

We strongly advise that early years’ service managers attend for this important information and to get details of the areas of practice affected and considerations for policy development in light of this legislation.
