Family Learning consists of special courses for Mums, Dads and carers to help you support your child’s learning. These can include:

- Child Development and Play
- The Power of Encouragement
- Helping with Maths
- Family Health.

Dyslexia & Dyspraxia North Kerry Parent Support
We are a group of parents of children with dyslexia and dyspraxia in the Kerry area. We meet on the first Friday of each month (September – June) at 8pm in the Listowel Family Resource Centre. Arts & Crafts Mornings

This parenting programme considers how parents connect with and build good relationships with their child. Through use of role-play, facilitator input, guided discussions the course aims to teach parents the skills of effective communication and conflict resolution. The topics covered include:
- Coping with Negative behaviour
- Encouraging your child
- Problem Solving
- Communicating with your child
- Managing your angry child
- Discipline and managing conflict
- Teen Sexuality
The Parents Plus Programmes are practical and positive video-based parenting courses designed to support and empower parents to manage and solve discipline problems, to create satisfying and enjoyable family relationships and to help children and young people grow up and reach their full potential.
