In 2001, 33 Childcare Committees were established to animate, support and co-ordinate the development of childcare locally. Currently there are 31 Childcare Committees in existence.
Kerry County Childcare Committee (KCCC) is the first point of contact for anyone involved in childcare including childcare providers, students and parents.
The work of Kerry County Childcare is guided by and committed to the outcomes for children and families as outlined in First 5 A Whole-of-Government Strategy for Babies, Young Children and their Families 2019-2028
Kerry CCC is funded by the Department of Children & Youth Affairs to support childcare services and families access the national childcare funding programme’s Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), National Childcare Scheme (NCS), Community Childcare Subvention Plus (CCSP), School Age Childcare (SAC)
